Has anyone applied to Summer 2024 University of Alabama FNP program. I finished my interview today. Anyone been accepted?
Who is doing full vs part-time? I have to decide. I originally wanted to do part-time but looking at the course catalog some of the semesters will only have one course and I would like to do more than that. I know they said it is easier to start full-time and then switch to part-time vs the other way around. I am a single mom, and will go down to part-time or PRN once clinicals start. I do share joint custody so some days I don't have my kids.
I know this is an older thread, but I just submitted my application for the family nurse practitioner program that starts in the fall of 2025. I was a nervous wreck! Hoping I did well enough to have a decent chance of acceptance. I am still in the middle of taking my BSN but will be done in July. I've been working as an RN for about six years before I decided to go back to get my BSN. I'm just hoping to get in so I can just keep going until the very end. I'm afraid if I take another "break" that "break" will turn into years and years of refusing to go back.
Sorry for the long post, but how long did it take most of y'all to hear back after submitting your interview?
@Rob HerringDid you have an online interview ? After I had mine I found out within a couple weeks. Best of luck to you!

I did. I had to send in four recorded answers as well as a written response.

I have researched a ton but I haven't found much. I am not local so I don't personally know anyone who has gone through this program. I do have a lot of family in Alabama and asked them if they knew anyone who had. Most of my friends and colleagues who are NP's went to Walden. I knew for sure I wanted a brick-and-mortar school.
