University of Alabama Fall 2022 PMHNP

Hey there!

I applied to the University of Alabama's PMHNP program -- Fall 2022. My application was submitted right before the deadline. I completed the interview on March 16 and my status continues to say Department Review in Progress. I emailed a few weeks ago and was told they are backed up due to Spring break, but it's almost May and still nothing. I am currently enrolled in a NP Program at another university but want to transfer to UA as I've changed my concentration interest. Anyway, I don't want to annoy them and keep asking for updates, but I need to make a decision before the Summer semester begins at my current university. Is anybody still waiting on a decision for the same program? Or know if they still even have open spots? I'm interested in discussing the program with anybody who is familiar with it as well! Thanks!

Have you heard anything back yet? I applied for Spring 2023 and they told me that they are still back up with Fall 2022 decisions.

I am also applying to the Spring 2023 start. I haven’t submitted my application yet though I’m still waiting on a few things. Did you submit 2 or 3 letters of recommendation, it was kind of confusing how it says on the program information that it requires 3 but the application instructions say you only need 2.

I couldn’t find much as far as reviews from anyone that’s been through the PMHNP program. I know you have to find your own clinical preceptors and have to film yourself doing the advanced health assessment. Other than that, I don’t know much else.

Hi.. yes I got my official acceptance letter and will be starting in Spring 2023.

I haven’t gotten the official letter, just the official email saying I have completed all of the requirements. The email said I should receive the official letter in a few days.
