Unit council/shared governance committee

Hello everyone,

so I am a newer nurse with just a little over a year under my belt on a PCU and Hem/Onc floor. Despite being new, my peers elected me to be the chairperson for both the PCU council and the hospital shared governance councils. I know I’m a good leader-a skill I picked up in the Marines but I lack experience and want to be able to impact positive changes and implement new ideas that will improve patient care as well as job satisfaction, unit pride and efficiency for the nurses. What are some ideas or projects that you or your hospital councils have worked on or just any ideas that you all may have?
