Union University ABSN Fall 2014

Anyone out there applying to any of Union's 3 campuses for the Accelerated BSN program?

Just sent in my application on November 14! The waiting game is so painful!!! :dead:

Really I have don't know much. I'm interested myself!!!! I know that many hospitals in the Memphis area do help pay back your loan if you contact with them for a certain number of years...usually 2. St. Francis has a $8000 hiring bonus on there nursing applications. Wish I was more helpful.

Thank you for the response Tinker88! I will definitely have to look into things a little more.. but that $8,000 bonus at St Francis doesn't sound too shabby! ha! :up:

@moto_beans: You'll be fine if you stay in north Jackson, around the bypass close to the school. There are some nice apartments downtown too, but north Jackson is safer. I was looking for a roommate as well, but I found an affordable 1 bedroom apartment last week!

What are the names of the apartments that you moved in to if you don't mind me asking? Are you moving in soon?

if you change your mind and decide you want a roommate I'm still looking! haha I heard that someone at the school can help set me up with a roommate too so I might do that

I will actually be living in an upstairs apartment at someone's home in North Jackson, and I won't be moving until the first weekend in August. When do you plan on moving?

I've been checking out Craigslist but haven't had much luck. It's a little early anyways. But I'm leaving California June 23 and spending all of July at my friend's place in Louisville, KY that way I can look for a place. I was hoping to be living in Jackson on August 1, that way there's be not too much and not too little time before school starts.

I'm so thankful that I don't have to worry about living arrangements! Some of my family live in Jackson.. Parents live in Humboldt and Milan if anyone knows where that is lol! I am so excited about starting in August!

Hello! I just received my acceptance letter for the Germantown campus. I'm super excited but totally freaking out at the short time frame. Had no idea they were still looking at applications for fall... I just applied in June! Anyway has anyone receive any more details about orientation at this point. I would appreciate any and all information that you might have! :-) :-)

Has the coordinator been in touch yet? I think her name is Wendy Glass. She will give you all the info regarding orientation. It is on Aug 7th :) Are you accepting the offer?

I know some other school cohorts have facebook groups... does anyone know if one exists for union, specifically the Germantown cohort? Thanks! It is rapidly approaching! Getting excited! :-)
