uniform color scrubs

At my hospital ,they are thinking of making everyone go to uniform colors....Like green for ICU, purple for telemetry etc.

Obstetrics and surgery wear hospital issue.

We look nice and professional,so I ask you. If they want to force us into same color scrubs for each floor/unit,shouldn't we get a uniform allowance? The nurses wearing hosp. scrubs never have to buy scrubs.

At our hospital several areas have certain colors..

But for the most part the colors are navy or white.... But you can wear any print top with white pants, and a print top that matches navy.. So you can pretty much where what you want...

As far as the GPS badge... I like them.. They have come in real handy when you are in a room with a patient and they fall or something and you can't leave... Beeper is good too.. Keeps me from having to run to the desk to answer the call lights all the time..

I love the fact that New2IVICU has to wear a GPS tracking device. Are they crazy, or are they worried that they will lose you. That is ridiculous. I am surprised that you have a place to carry a pen or small notebook. Do you feel weighted down?
