I submitted my application to CSCC at 9:00 am this morning. Later today, I found out that dozens of other people had the same idea. They camped out in the computer lab and all waited to hit the 'enter' key at 9:00 am. The application was supposedly for Spring '11, but only a few people will get in due to the overwhelming number of applicants from the Fall '10 crowd. I'm fairly certain that I will not start until almost a year and a half from now. I find this frustrating, considering I have the same chance of getting in as someone who has much lower grades than mine (I have a 3.9 GPA). Are there any good alternatives to Columbus State out there?
The mid-January application date heard back in mid-March I believe so I would imagine mid to late September would be a realistic expectation. If I was making the decisions, I would want to get it all done before a new group of students started!! I'm compulsively checking my mail - the postman at my apt complex knows me and what I'm looking for :)
So I work until 9pm this week and I just KNOW someone is going to post that they got the letter and I won't be able to check it until I get home and it is going to torture me all night at work.... ahh the anticipation!!!!!!
Got my letter this morning so hopefully yours will be waiting for you when you get home!
I did end up getting wait listed though. Not to upset about it, gives me a chance to finish all other classes so I can focus only on my nursing courses during the program.
Good luck!

anyone think we will get letters this month for the July '10 application date??? I really hope they don't wait until October. It would be nice if they sent them out before Autumn quarter so I know if I need to add another class. Trying to get all my extra classes done before nursing starts, but don't want to rush them if I am going to get wait listed for Fall '11 start.
