Hi UNG pre-nursing students! I'm starting a thread for everyone applying to The University of North Georgia's Nursing Program for Fall 2020. Post your stats, HESI scores, and outcomes. I am a transfer student finishing up my core this semester. Good luck ya'll!

I got accepted at Gainesville campus!! I am so excited

Accepted to Gainesville! ?

Hi guys!

I have quick question regarding the UNG transfer application. What did you guys put for intended major? I couldn’t find “nursing” major and I am not sure which one to put. Thanks!

@Heley01 I don't remember exactly what I put for the intended major (it might have just been Bachelor of Science or pre-nursing). I did email one of the general advisors at UNG and they told me what to put. Sorry, wish I could be of more help!

@Heley01 I’m pretty sure I had to pick General Studies but it had BSN next to it I think.

Hi y’all!

As a transfer student who wants to apply into Nursing program for Fall 2021, do I need to get accepted into the university for Spring 2021 or Fall 2021? Thank you.

@Heley01 I would think Fall, but please reach out to one of the advisors to double check.

Hi guys, I'm actually applying for the Fall 2021 program at UNG, but I wanted to come on here and ask if any of you knew of pros or cons for choosing the Gainesville versus Dahlonega campus? (higher chance of getting in in one or the other, better teachers, better facilities, etc.) I want to submit my application today, but I am having a really hard time choosing.

FWIW, I currently live in Gainesville with my husband and 13 month old daughter, so I am also weighing the different childcare options, ease of finishing up classes before 5 to pick up from day care, etc.

You need to get accepted into the Spring Semester to be able to start in fall.

But you can double check with an advisor.

Ziggy, I don't really know a lot of pros and cons of chosing Gainesville over Dahlonega. For one, I think there is a more competition for the Dahlonega campus cos international students and other students needing accomodation will chose Dahlonega campus also.

I chose Gainesville cos it is closer to me. I applied to the Gainesville campus twice (fall 2020 and then Spring 2021) I got accepted both times.

Also, students on Gainesville campus sometimes have to go take lectures on the Dahlonega campus.

I hope this helps you -- in some way -- make your decision

Thank you for your advice!
