UNF Summer 2014 BSN hopefuls

Published

Hi everyone!

With the deadline only a little over a month away, I figured we all need a place to stress, hope and worry! I just took my first stab at the TEAS and hit the average score of the past few years (335). I have a 3.9 GPA. One pre-req left. Applying for ABSN. I'm scheduled for a second TEAS attempt next month. How is everyone else doing? Drooling over stats as much as I am?? Any interview preparation plans?

But actually, mine has always been 39, and today it changed for some reason... trying not to read too much into anything though!

Oh really?? Interesting... I never noticed that before so I have no clue what mine originally was/ if it changed.

Well mine is 89 and that sounds about right with my obsessing lol!!

Mine is 16, but I think you are all right about the date, I think the request number might be how many times you requested to see your degree eval??? Idk seems like I've checked it about 16 times but who knows. Maybe i'll re-request and see if it goes up hahahaha

Yeah I don't know because it just stayed the same, however the only thing in red would be the first semester nursing school classes listed "Not Met" which makes me feel like I didn't overlook anything and they have everything they are supposed to and now I need to stop freaking out and just.... wait.... lol

Mine says 1. I don't know if it changed or not but my last departmental refer update was listed as January 3rd

I think it's probably how many times you'd looked at it. I'd been poking around that site since last year so it would make sense why mine is so high. I had access pretty early on since I'm an alumni

Looked at the page or your transcript/for nursing admissions?

The audit summary / degree eval

Yeah I only checked it once, it's odd to monitor that though...

Well, just to keep us busy while we wait, how is the wait fairing for those of you waiting on responses from other schools? Where are you in those application processes?

I applied to FAU, UCF, and in the process of UM (there's is due March 1st). For FAU I am patiently waiting because our interviews would be Feb 21st but we won't be hearing anything til Feb 14th. UCF is not till the end of March and UM will decide by the end of March as well. As far as where I am in the process for UM, I basically did a personal statement, got a rec letter from a teacher and then asked for an additional one from my supervisor at my internship since I have worked there two years, and now I am just checking to make sure everything is done before I submit.

Yes this waiting is killing me. Thank goodness this week was busy for my classes and internship (although I check emails I feel every 5 mins lol)

Wow! It sounds like some of the schools have pretty involved application processes. I like how straight-forward UNF's is, although I guess sometimes that can make it a bit difficult to get everything in that you'd like to say about yourself.

Is UNF not first choice for some of you?

I have to say, the campus has grown so much and added so many cool things since I graduated there in '07!
