UNF Summer 2014 BSN hopefuls

Hi everyone!

With the deadline only a little over a month away, I figured we all need a place to stress, hope and worry! I just took my first stab at the TEAS and hit the average score of the past few years (335). I have a 3.9 GPA. One pre-req left. Applying for ABSN. I'm scheduled for a second TEAS attempt next month. How is everyone else doing? Drooling over stats as much as I am?? Any interview preparation plans?

Yes it will definitely be interesting to see the final stats! Hope we are all among those numbers!

I think so too, hellooonursh. Part of me reeeally wanted to try again to improve my score but I didn't think it would be significant and the thought of possibly ever scoring lower was terrifying. It was $70 for me to take it and that was high enough that it just wasn't worth it.

I agree about the teas science! Not so much the anatomy and bio as the earth science but over all, it was my least favorite section. I only took it once btw. Maybe would have attempted again if it wasn't so expensive and if I thought my score would differ significantly.

That's really interesting!! I found the science to be not that bad but I had lots of anatomy. I hate math!

Now every time I get an email on my phone I jump to see if it's UNF. Wow this week is going to go by even slower than the others!! I'm hoping she posts the stats on the Facebook like she did last year. These are the highest TEAS scores I've seen compared to past forums, so I'm betting the average will be higher (I hope not though lol). And yeah the science portion was so strange to me, I had questions about different kinds of rocks and other earth science stuff that was so painfully boring I didn't even try to memorize it. Mine was only $40ish to atitesting and $12 to take it at the FSU testing center.

I would be super surprised if anyone on here didn't get an interview, I'm so excited for all of us!!! Happy waiting!

I don't know!! Those 2012 stats were crazy.

Are interviews more of like a personal statement in verbal form or more so general questions? Have you guys heard through the grapevine. I was just wondering because they don't ask for a resume so I wonder if it is to find out what we have been doing with our time

It's 4 - 5 questions in a group interview setting. Specific questions. Like a job interview. I'll try to find the link I saw that on

Coffee prior to the interview is a wonderful suggestion!! And talking to other people beforehand may ease the nerves a bit. :) I know mine will be all whacked !!

Yeah this is what I mentioned earlier too and I'm glad that everyone else thinks it is a good idea as well. Like it was said a million and one times already, I think that the really serious students are the ones stalking the forums, and therefor the likelihood of us being accepted is pretty good. So I think it will be a good time to calm nerves, and trust me I'll be all jacked up ahaha.. plus, it'll be nice to meet some of the people we will probably be spending most of our time with for the next two years!

I'm all for it :) We just have to work out when since there are several different times of interviews throughout the day. We'll work something out.

I feel like a freak-a-zoid! Everytime my phone beeps I run to it like a madwoman only to see coupons for Express or Staples or something lol.

I've unsubscribed from lots of them just so I know what's really important :)
