Hi everyone!

With the deadline only a little over a month away, I figured we all need a place to stress, hope and worry! I just took my first stab at the TEAS and hit the average score of the past few years (335). I have a 3.9 GPA. One pre-req left. Applying for ABSN. I'm scheduled for a second TEAS attempt next month. How is everyone else doing? Drooling over stats as much as I am?? Any interview preparation plans?

Thanks to the Mods for moving this to Florida Nursing!

Hey HellooNursh! Those are some good scores, you will definitely get an interview!! I can't believe the deadline is almost a month away! I am applying to the regular bsn program with a 3.8 gpa and 357 teas score. After perusing all of the other forums on here I've made a big list of potential interview questions and answers. I have also heard that the summer cohort is more competitive because of the accelerated applicants(aka you, lol), so I'm trying not to get my hopes up too high!

Thanks for making this group!! Hopefully as we get closer to the deadline more people will decide to stress with up haha

Awesome scores!!! You're totally getting to interview, too! What did you think about the TEAS? I practiced and practiced and when it came to the real thing I was so nervous that I ended up re-reading the loooong passages a billion times just waiting on my nerves to quiet down. Ha! Looking forward to taking a relaxed re-take now.

Only a month left, nearly! So exciting! Can't wait!

Sorry it took me so long to respond! Yeah those long passages drag on and I second guessed myself a lot haha. I knew that the science section was going to be more difficult because there was just so much random information, so I made sure I knew everything on the other sections. How did your re-take go?!

Deadline is less than two weeks away! woo!

That's ok! I totally did the same thing you did, except I concentrated on science and math. In the end I did the best on science and had seconds in math left at the end! I tend to over analyze math. My retake is this Tuesday coming. I'm excited about it. I did OK on the first one so less pressure this time. Just so competitive for that ABSN spot! I'm aiming for accelerated because I have a little one. He's a year old! I want to be done before he gets ready for school, and also so we can make him a big brother :) 2 weeks left to deadline!! I totally hand delivered my transcripts this week from fall semester! I don't trust FSCJ to get them there on time haha! How about you? Any outliers left?

I'm at FSU right now so currently still waiting on my grades from the fall to get sent in.. everyday that passes I get nervous that it's going to be late and I won't even have a shot! But I've been looking at stats constantly (a little obsessed) and I think I'm competitive enough for an interview, and so are you. As long as you rock the interview you'll totally get ABSN! And even if you don't you could always be bumped up from regular if someone drops. I'm super excited and completely nervous! I can't imagine trying to do nursing school with a baby! Best of luck Tuesday, you'll do great. I'm actually thinking about retaking mine again next week just to see if I could get a higher score. Let me know how it goes!

Oooh FSU! Good school. Go 'Noles! My mom got her master's there. Your score is pretty high. I think the only thing you need to concentrate on now is your interview! But I never think it's a bad idea to go for higher. You are right up there with the stats so I think you are a win win either way. That interview is going to be the decision maker. But I think as long as you are passionate about becoming a nurse and know yourself and integrity well, you will be just fine! It definitely is going to be hard work with a toddler at home but my hubby and family are here and are super supportive and excited for me. I have lots of help. Now, regarding obsessing over stats...I had to stop stalking the Facebook page!! Ha ha. Killing myself over here! I'll definitely let you know how it goes. I know it's going to be packed in there. All of the seats to test at UNF are booked now. When I was turning my transcripts in, there were at least 20 other nursing hopefuls doing the same.Talk about an applicant pool!

Do you think all those applicants are applying for summer?! I wonder if the average TEAS score is going to be higher this year because this is the first year you can take it more than once. I went to an informational meeting in November and Beth said that wasn't the case so far but that was two months ago.. can't wait to see what the stats for this year are!

I went to the info session, too!! And I've been wondering the same thing! I think she said at the time the average was 310? But only 70 people had applied with TEAS scores at that time. Not sure if they were all there for summer, but I imagine so since that deadline is within 2 weeks. I can't imagine it wouldn't be a higher average but at the same time, it's kind of difficult to get a higher score unless there was a lot of time between tests or you totally bombed the first attempt. I'm not expecting to increase my score by much, just to correct the silly mistakes I made because I was nervous. I feel like the TEAS is an even bigger deal now. Ugh!! :)

That can't be! I wasn't expecting that! I just turned in my paperwork today. And my teas was an 86%.
