UNF Fall 2013 BSN

Anybody else out there applying for UNF for the fall?? Less than a month left to get all of the paperwork in order. I'm so afraid of missing something!! I think all I have left to do is submit my summer schedule and my spring expected grade papers from the classes I'm taking now. Pre-reqs (nearly) done, TEAS taken, supplemental app submitted.....

Hadn't seen a post yet for the fall, so I figured I'd start and see if anybody out there was sitting on their hands, waiting for May!!

For sure! Still hoping I get in to JU because its my 1st choice but if not ill definitely be reapplying for the summer term :)

So now the question - what's everyone wearing to the interview?!

Ladies- dress w jacket? Suit w/ pants? Suit w/skirt? Something else??

I'm going to have to go shopping this next week to see what I can find. Ugh.

I'm thinking I will wear a pant suit, or dress pants with a nice blazer. I own a lot of dresses, but I want more of the business professional look.

"Good morning!

I typically receive many emails regarding the application pool statistics, so I would like to share them here with you.

When final fall RPL BSN file reviews began roughly two weeks ago, there were 400+ files in various states of completion. There were more yet that were already cancelled for missing items when the deadline passed as determined by Enrollment Services. Of the 400+, they had active applications, TEAS scores, or both on file. That began the scale down process.

Here's the breakdown from that process!

1 file had TEAS, but no UNF application

2 files applied, but lacked enough hours for junior-level status

25 ended up cancelled after the submission of supp apps &/or TEAS scores

15 submitted TEAS scores, but lacked a 2.90 cum GPA

70 failed to supply TEAS scores

2 are pre-admitted at higher admission standards for military commissioning tracks

10 had prereq GPAs less than the required 2.90

1 did not meet the prereq course count enrollment requirement (too many sciences over the summer)

37 failed to supply spring grades, degree plans, enrollment proof, supp apps, or some combination of those

147 were found to be as complete as possible, but non-competitive for an interview spot

3 are pending a special committee review as permitted on the main application

101 were invited to interview on June 21st

Of those invited to interview, the average prereq GPA is 3.79 on a 4.00 scale and the average TEAS score is 336 on a 400 point scale. With the two early admits for military commissioning tracks, we will fill 43 spots from the interviews and will waitlist between 20 and 30 candidates after the interview."

Hello everyone, I'm Ana!! I'm new on here...I had to sign up after reading everybody's post. I got an interview as well @1030!!! I can't wait to meet you guys!! It'll be somewhat relaxing knowing that people who you've talked to already are going through the same thing as you. I'm so nervous already. 2 weeks!!! Are y'all as nervous as I am?! I found what I'm going to wear and now just to bone up on some questions and answers and wait patiently! Lol happy Friday!!

YES I am awfully nervous and hoping I can get that under control! I am at 9:30. Ready to get it over with!!! Not sure what I am going to wear. :nailbiting:

You are welcome! I need to really sit down and go through it all and think about how I would answer some of the questions. I wish I was a current UNF student bc I would totally take advantage of the mock interview. But since I'm not, off to the Internet I go to get sample possible questions and to practice! :)

How did you hear that only UNF students get mock interviews? A friend of mine did them and she wasn't a student there,
