Accept the second job offer. There's no guarantee that the DON at the first workplace is going to ever call back. Managers are notorious for getting busy, changing their minds, or simply deciding at the last minute to go with a candidate that they liked better.
Accept the offer at the second place for now, then rescind the offer if the first place calls you back with a firm job offer and a solid start date.

I interviewed with 2 companies today. The first one the ADON wanted to give me the position but I believe the DON has the final say. She informed me that I was what they were looking for. I did my preemployment packet and she told me the DON would call with the pay, etc. However, the second job offered me the position on spot. Only problem is the second job is paying far less than what I have EVER been payed. I want the FIRST job because it is in a skilled nursing facility and I could strengthen more of my skills. What should I do?! I'm hoping the first job calls me but I don't know how long I should wait. The second job wants me to start immediately. ?
