UNCW MSN Nurse Educator

I am starting my MSN Nurse Educator Program on Monday at UNCW. So nervous and yet excited! Has anyone here completed this program and have any tips??

Good for you! So far everyone has been very nice and I love the Professor for my first class.

I will be starting the MSN NE program this Fall. I too am excited and nervous at the same time! How has your experience been thus far?

Just 2 weeks in so far. Lots of reading and, of course, discussion posts. My first class is all theory so it can be a bit tedious. Plugging along!

I have to take stats over again because I took it in 2004. Debating if I could take it with all of the tedious work or before I start the program in October! ?

Just what I expected. Will there be lots of writing assignments? That's what I dread ? Keep us posted on how it goes!

I have a question. If I pursue a MSN in nurse education, would I later be able to receive my DNP/FNP as an MSN to DNP/FNP program? Or would I have to take more credit hours than other who have first received a MSN in FNP? Thanks.

Klott117, I hope all is well! How's the program going for you? You mentioned in your post that you had to take Statistics over again because yours was taken in 2004. Do you know within how many years this class expires for UNCW? Where did you re-took yours? I am applying to their program this Fall 2020. Thank you in advance!
