Hey!
Anyone planning on applying to UMSON for Spring of '13?
Hello Grey Lady. I called earlier today and I learned that I had mistakenly chosen Shady Grove instead of Baltimore. I am very upset because I looked over my application over and over again to make sure everything is correct. I do not have anything against Shady Grove but I simply cannot get to the campus. It'll be a three hour ride using the bus/metro. If I were to get a car it'll be an hour drive. I don't know what I'm going to do. I am so devastatedI can't believe this is happening to me.
Just make sure that the admissions office knows you want the Baltimore campus. I am sure they will do what they can to accomodate you but it may take a little time as they have made enough offers to fill the class in Baltimore. A space has to open up there.
Grey Lady,When you say that they have made enough offers to fill up the Baltimore class, does this mean all the calls were made to those students? Or just that they have chosen those students? Still waiting so am curious.
I am so sorry - I don't know if they have finished calling everyone or mailing their letters if they could not connect by phone. Try to be patient and good luck!
I feel like this is a little different from the previous semesters forum. I don't see any other forums where so many people hasn't heard anything regarding their applications. Maybe a new acceptance process is being used. I don't know what it is really but it's really frustrating playing guessing games. I just want to know something!!!
Im pretty sure that if you haven't gotten a status update online that youre basically wait listed but that they're waiting to tell you because they anticipate several people being accepted off of this wait list after first round picks turn down spots. I am part of this group and am thinking well get a definitive answer of whether we're officially wait listed or accepted whenever the forms are due for the first round picks in a few weeks.

Thanks to everyone who gave me some insight into their application and acceptance experience. Sometimes it's just great to know a range of people from so many different educational paths get in. Congrats again and do work ladies!!
