Happy November! Hope everyone wasn't too affected by Sandy! It sounds like Baltimore got hit hard. I am registering for a CPR class through the AHA and was wondering if anyone else had recently registered. I think the course we need is called "BLS for Healthcare Providers", but wanted to double check with other students registering just to be 100% sure this is the right one. Thanks!

I just signed a tentative lease at Fayette Square Apartments (pending acceptance). The place is a bit pricey, but everything is included for the most part, the location is great, and the people I worked with in the leasing office were incredibly nice! If anyone else is looking for housing and has any questions about Fayette Square, I can give you the name of the woman who helped me. She was great. Getting excited!!!

I've been volunteering at UMMC now for a few months and have never felt unsafe walking in the area during the afternoon/early evening, but this past weekend I was followed by a really loud, aggressive guy for about 3 blocks. I was with two other people when it happened and we wound up literally running up to a cop to ask for help. It really shook me up and got me thinking about the safety around campus. Anyone familiar with Baltimore? Is this a common occurrence or more of an isolated incident? I really appreciate any advice! I'm not at all familiar with the area.

I believe that they release decisions in November, but I am not sure. I have been looking at old threads that students made last summer and November is mentioned. I'm so excited to apply!! And already very nervous...
