Hi Grey Lady (or anyone else who wants to contribute), I just received my official acceptance letter as a provisional admit. It says I must maintain a 3.0 gpa minimum for this semester as well as a B or better in any remaining pre-requisites. My last two classes are Microbiology and public speaking ( I thought I needed public speaking to graduate in general). So I have an A in Microbiology now, and a B in public speaking. Do you think that if I get a B- in public speaking, it will affect my chances of being fully accepted? Thanks

2nd - No, it will not be a problem as long as its a B

They don't go by B plus or B minus

As long as it's in B range you'll be fine

Don't stress over this & go celebrate

@student20122 Thanks so much! I think I'll be fine finishing up my last classes. It's almost unreal how I actually got accepted. I got into shady grove, now I gotta plan for housing. Good luck to everyone else if you're still waiting to hear back. And congrats to everyone who got accepted. I hope to see you guys in Shady Grove.

Does anyone know how the provisional acceptance works? If i get a C is there any way i could defer my acceptance? Also if i have a 4.0 in my sciences and i get one C does that still mean my acceptance may be revoked?

If you are a Provisional Admit and you receive a C in any course, your file will be re-examined and a decision made on a case by case basis. Deferrals are granted for extenuating circumstances only.
