UMSON Fall 2014

Published

Deadline is set - February 3, 2014

Who is applying?

Does anyone know when we can expect to do our clinical off-sites for the BSN program? Would it always be in the 2nd year? Or could they have us start the first year? Just so I make sure I read it right, we don't need to do a background check before fall, correct?

Is anyone else having problems with the interactive approval to register form? Mine won't let me save or email it!

Do you have a Mac? The interactive form does not work on Macs. I don't know why. You'll have to do it the old-fashioned way on a Mac. Or, if taking it to Baltimore in person or mailing it is a problem, you can fill it out interactively, then print it, scan it back in as a PDF, and email it to whomever it needs to go to.

You have clinical in the first semester, but it is a shortened clinical that does not extend through the entire semester. You'll learn more in class about that. We signed up for it after classes had already begun. In second semester, you have adult health and that clinical lasts all semester. I don't know if they're changing the background check deadlines for you guys with the new curriculum, so I cannot answer that question.

I just faxed the form this morning, but I was able to sign up for classes today!

Awesome! I signed up for classes too. Did you guys also sign up for one of the NURS 317 lab groups that looked like it combined lab, physio-pharm lab, and clinical days?

I thought we weren't supposed to sign up for labs

It wouldn't let me sign up for the labs

Actually nevermind it just let me do it! I signed up for Group F for 317! Such long days

I thought we were suppose to wait till later in the summer to sign up for labs and clinicals. How do you know which lab group to join?

I just joined based on the times of each and which fit my schedule best. For example, I couldn't join any of the sections that met for a really long time on Fridays because I signed up for two classes on Friday. Plus it'll be a pretty easy fix if it doesn't work out. I feel like I'm just figuring out a lot of stuff on my own since we haven't really gotten anything from them

I signed up for Group B. I still can't believe we haven't heard anything from them. its actually ridiculous
