UMSL Accelerated BSN Program Summer 2015

I was curious if anyone else had heard anything from the school yet about admission into the program? I thought the school's myview account was a little confusing about which application had been admitted, for example: general admission vs actual program admission. Just looking for some others who may have applied :)

Oh don't get me wrong, it really does lol but it's not something that I can do much about. It's just one of the few cons to living out in the country. Have you looked into scholarships or anything from UMSL? Or grant money?

I have been saving my pennies for a while now so I think with what I have saved up and a bit of grant money I might be able to make it all work, but I will still need a scholarship to cover all of the costs. Or I will need to take out a student loan, which sounds somewhat less than appealing to me.

It doesn't look like they give a lot of scholarships. I don't qualify for grants and I don't really want to take out a tone in loans. I'm also out of state which doubles my tuition.

Holy cow! I can't imagine that program being twice the cost. I definitely know what you mean about student loans though. I'm trying my best to avoid taking out any of those.

FINALLY!!! I got my acceptance letter!

I'm do glad we all got in. Do you know anyone else in the program? Make sure you send your check in ASAP.

So far I just know of you, me, and one of my friends. Oh and as soon as I got my letter I ran to the post office with my check. I didn't trust that my check would make it their on time if I left it in my mailbox.

I'm jumping in on this late, but I'm so glad we all got accepted as well! Brooke, Alex has been keeping me updated with the information you've been passing her way. I STILL haven't gotten my follow up e-mail. I met with an adviser last week and she said it had been emailed to everyone. She even confirmed my email address and re-sent it to me and I still haven't received anything yet! :(

I'm also nervous about how I'm going to pay for the program. I'm really hoping for some scholarship money but I have a feeling I may have to get a loan :(
