UMSL Accelerated BSN Program Summer 2015
I'm jumping in on this late, but I'm so glad we all got accepted as well! Brooke, Alex has been keeping me updated with the information you've been passing her way. I STILL haven't gotten my follow up e-mail. I met with an adviser last week and she said it had been emailed to everyone. She even confirmed my email address and re-sent it to me and I still haven't received anything yet! I'm also nervous about how I'm going to pay for the program. I'm really hoping for some scholarship money but I have a feeling I may have to get a loan

Has anyone repeat one class and got into Nursing program?
Because of random circumstances, I dropped A&P twice before I was finally able to take the full semester (and ended up with an A). Even with the two W's on my transcript for the course, I was accepted into an accelerated nursing program. I suppose it just depends on the school, but apparently it didn't matter for mine. Maybe just call the admissions office for the school you're interested in and ask! :)

How hard is A&P really?
I'm one of the crazy people who actually LOVED A&P I and II. I studied my butt off and got A's in both, and I really think that's the key. Don't be afraid to seek outside help for tutoring purposes. Also, I found a lot of fun A&P memorization games online that were SO helpful in studying. I had an excellent instructor and I highly recommend looking at reviews of potential instructors on ratemyprofessors.com before registering for a class. Good luck!!

Maryville University vs. UMSL Nursing Programs
I have always known I wanted to do the accelerated program at UMSL, but recently I've had some misgivings about whether or not I'll make it through such a fast-paced program. I've been looking into Maryville's fast track program as well, and I was just wondering if anyone has attended either! If anyone has attended either, what did you like about it? Dislike? Would the accelerated UMSL program be extremely difficult, even if I'm planning on quitting work? Is there a difference in how either school looks when I'm trying to get hired after graduation? Is there a difference in the NCLEX pass rate with either school? I'm really looking for pros and cons of each because I really just don't know which would be better. I really appreciate any help you guys can give me!!! I'm having such a hard time deciding!
