UMMC RN Residency October Cohort

Hey everyone!

I was recently offered and accepted a new grad position at University of Maryland Medical Center in the NICU! I am starting their orientation October 9th and was wondering if anyone else is starting then as well and what unit you are working on?

So excited to start my first RN job and good luck to anyone starting soon too!

I just made this group because I don't see a whole lot recently about UMMC's residency program! I hope so too. How did the interview go? When will you hear?

Yeah, you're right. It actually went very well! The nurses were so friendly and the unit seemed like a family so it was amazing. They were doing renovations on the unit so I couldn't do that long of a share day but I had a good feel of it. I'm just ready to start because mental health is a passion of mine and I love UMMC. I used to work in Mother Baby as a tech. The manager said I would hear from him very soon. Fingers crossed!

I hope you get either job and hope you'll hear back soon! That's what I experienced on the NICU too, everyone was nice and really seemed to like their job.
