UMDNJ accelerated BSN Fall 2012

Hi Violala,

I have a BA in biology, Rutgers, 3.6 . I finished my app around mid April. LLhawk I've been waiting to hear from financial aid too but haven't received anything other than the admissions packet. Hope we hear back soon I'd like to get started on the loan application process, I dont know how long that will take:uhoh3:

I called the financial aid office to try and figure it out.. they weren't too helpful, or nice.

And yeah, that worries me. We need to get goin on this! I emailed.. I don't remember her name, but she said once admissions processes everything into their system we'll receive login info to see what financial aid things are missing. Did you submit the financial aid form thats directly on UMDNJs website? Theres also a form to pint and fax to them

Hi Mar2012,I am waiting to hear from the school. I pray and hope I have been accepted. It's been a long road for me and I am so excited to start nursing school....still waiting on a reply.

Hey Omyragrau, I hope you get the good news soon!!!From what I've seen from previous years UMDNJ sends out letters til late August so you still have plenty of time and plenty of hope :) !!! Don't stress too much :specs:

Llhawk you must have called the same lady I did because she pretty much hung up on me lol and when I called back she transferred me to some other girl who wasn't too nice either but actually somewhat helpful. She said umdnj had its own separate financial aid form to fill out with a promissory note or whatever its called lol. So I'm going to do that now ...oh and in regards to loans she said not to worry about that til at least 30 days before we start school because if we do it too early our credit will expire too soon (whatever that means).

Well @Mar2012.... I will be attending the ABSN program as well....I just received my letter today!!!!! I am so ecstatic!!!!!

@violala: according to NursingCAS, my undergraduate GPA was 3.4; my degree is in Health and Exercise Science. I submitted my application 5/24 but thankfully my GPA was already calculated from prior applications (I know that can take awhile). I just got my acceptance letter in the mail today though for the Stratford campus!! Woohooo! Congrats Omyragrau and Igagliano:yeah: !!I know the feeling!! smehra I'm not sure about the Nalc course yet . Professor Napierkowski said right now the tentative start date for the program is july 16th and we'll be taking the TEAS that day. I was hoping to work as much as possible this summer I didnt think it would start that early ..so I'm still debating :uhoh21:

Oh wow, thats early for NALC! For Stratford (to give you an idea) its 9 days from 9am-330pm from August 6-9 and 13-17; the schedule was sent in our admissions packet. Not sure how much different the program is for Newark though

Hey! I was accepted for summer 2012 but had to defer till fall. Never recieved the admissions packet with NALC info though, just acceptance letter, health/background forms and then deferment approval. Guess I should call them up and ask for that packet! Is there a Facebook group? I'd love to join.Stats for those who asked: nursingcas GPA 3.76, with a 4.0 in all prereqs. My previous degree was a BFA (bachelors in fine arts) from the Cooper Union.

Hello everyone!! I just got my acceptance letter yesterday!! ....now I just have to figure out all the financial aid stuff.
