UMass Worcester GEP 2011

I just wanted to start a new thread for anyone who applied to the UMass Worcester GEP program for Fall 2011 entry!

Hello all,

I will be joining the GEP program this Fall in the Adult/Gero Primary cohort. My interview required was very conversational and the woman running it was easy to talk to. I would give the advice to bring picture ID with you otherwise you might have to loop back. It seems there is some concern of people hiring actors to portray them for competitive interviews, or perhaps I misunderstood the joke.. My advice is the same they give in the meet and greets for the program, know why you want to be a NP, why you want to got to UMASS specifically and how you are going to make the time/financial commitment work for you and your people.

Looking forward to the June 20th meeting with possible CPR afterwards.

I'm in! Got the call on April 7 that I was accepted into the GEP/Adult Primary specialty as well. I haven't gotten my official letter yet though. I'm told it was mailed out April 13, so any day now! What's going on on June 20? Any other interesting info included with the letter? :)

So psyched! Can't wait to meet you all this summer!

The letter is an agreement, a CORI check and a time line for deposit if we are talking about the same thing. The 20th is a strange one I know we have a meeting in June but it looks like they might tag a CPR class onto the end of it for those of us who need renewal and the 20th was mentioned as the date. I'll have to check my paperwork.
