UMass Boston Spring 2020

Published

Hello everyone! I take the TEAS tomorrow in the hopes of being accepted for the Spring 2020 cohort. Is anyone else on here applying as well? I am applying as a transfer student from San Diego, CA.

does anyone else need to take chemistry still?

I don't believe that I have to. It says that any 4 credit chemistry course will satisfy, and I've taken Chem 100/Chem 100 L in San Diego which is 4 credits. I am trying to get a full transfer credit evaluation so that I can know what classes to anticipate for my upcoming semesters.

I'm finishing up my chemistry class right now and it's worth 5 credits at my school.. However, I'm also still waiting in my transfer credit evaluation to see what has transferred and what hasn't. I went to the admissions office today and they told me that most, if not all of my major sciences (anatomy, micro, physio) were not able to be transferred over.. They said I'd be able to fill out a form to try and fight it and get credits for them still so.. Hopefully that works out!!

omg!! your anatomy and micro didnt trasnfer?? why not?! Thats crazy, Im nervous now. Where did you do your classes through RevelRevel?

What??? Where did you take classes at? I did micro, physio, and anatomy, at San Diego Miramar and SD Mesa College. I'd be so pissed if my classes didn't transfer over. Did you put them in on Transferology? Why wouldn't they transfer. That is odd!!!

Don't be nervous, all my credits transferred. I would wait for the official evaluation email. Admissions doesn't seem to be spot on. They also told me that I would get a decision in December, and I received one the next day.

Transferology said my sciences were a "maybe" and the councilor said they probably wouldn't be accepted according to transferology. I sent in my syllabi for all my classes and a form to help out with the process. I'll just wait for the official letter though aha. They send that through to your normal email correct?

@revelrevel I received mine in an email. I went to admissions today and all of my classes were accepted. I am just needing Nutrition and another language class to complete my general eds. Other than that, its just all major specific courses for me. Im sure your classes will count as well, seems like transferology is a general idea. You'll have a direct answer once you get your transfer evaluation.

This thread is old but I want to apply for the Spring 2021 cycle. Does anyone know what the total tuition including housing, books etc would look like? Can anyone who did attend this program share what their total costs came down to? Would be super beneficial!
