I’m in the same boat! I take the gre Tuesday and I’m stressing! The math study content is so vast it’s insane. ? I’ve heard the test itself is not as intense though and that a lot of educated guesses can be made so that what I’m hoping for. ??
But yes I would totally apply for what you can now! Good luck!

Hi all,
I’m hoping to get into a CRNA school in South Florida sometime this year or early next year. I am just having a hard time knowing what to focus on so any advice is much appreciated. I was looking to apply to Barry, and have been studying for the GRE ( literally from scratch, doing all Khan academy videos because I didn’t take much math throughout school) and it has proven to be a pretty long process.
I’m currently 3 weeks in and my studying is looking like it will have to be 3-4 months at the very least to be competitive and maybe a couple thousand dollars in with a prep course and weekly tutoring at 75/hr for 2 hrs included. That being said I will not be able to make the Barry application deadline this year in November because I also need to take my CCRN ( I feel a little more confident with this, I think it’ll take me a month at most).
Then, UM applications are opening in September. I have 2 years of ICU experience, a 3.44 GPA everything combined, was valedictorian of my nursing class with a 4.0 in my ASN program, got a 3.74 GPA for my BSN program, and have good references. I need statistics before orientation and think it would look more competitive to retake my A&P because I got a C (didn’t do so hot in prereqs before nursing school) and ofcourse have my CCRN. Don’t know if I should abandon the GRE studying altogether and focus on my UM application or just apply a little later in the application cycle. If anyone has their application stats and acceptance, I would appreciate it. Just needing some guidance and I know it’s a process to get in and I have to be patient but would obviously appreciate the more streamlined approach to my goal.
