Hello,
I recently applied to UM's (University of Miami) FNP part-time program that starts in January 2017. I was contacted today to set-up an interview and have it for next week. Was wondering if anyone else was in the same boat as me? I am currently an ED nurse wishing to get into this program and meet others that will join me.
Thanks!

Thanks for info. As a follow up question, if she sends emails for "acceptance", what are the US mail "letter" for? Rejections, Acceptance, or Interviews? The use of various ways of communicating their decision can be difficult to read, if you know what I mean. Let see what happens this week!
Hey PinkNurse14,
Not quite the same exact boat, but I applied to the Acute Care NP track for Spring 2017 and had my interview yesterday. I work in the ED as well and my clinical question was under the umbrella of nephrology. A coworker who interviewed months ago for the ACNP Fall 2016 had a question about managing a patient in SVT. Granted this was for ACNP but overall the interview is very relaxed like another poster said. Mine was a panel and like everyone else has said, I was told to expect in answer within the next four weeks.
Best of luck to you and everyone else applying/interviewing!
Good luck to you also! Although this forum is for FNP Spring 2017 applicants at UM, we welcome your input. Indeed, the interview questions for FNP are different than those for ACNP and the waiting period is also different. Congrats and we wish you receive an acceptance letter.
On another note, the letters that went out three days ago, are set to arrive today or Saturday! Let us know if you receive the letters!!!!!!!
Congratulations!!!! That's great. Very fast. You just had your interview 2 weeks ago, right? Didn't realize they would be that fast with notifying people. That's amazing? Was UM the only school you applied to?
I am still waiting for nursingcas to verify my transcripts. So it will be a long time before I have my interview.

Hello there! Does UM sends out admission status letters by US mail or by email? Has anyone been accepted without interviewing?
Thanks for your input.
