UM ABSN Summer 2016

Submitted my application for the University of Miami Accelerated BSN program a few days ago. Haven't received anything directly from the school yet. Anyone else out there apply?

Hi everyone!!! Congrats to those who have already received an acceptance letter!

I'm a little late to the process. I just submitted my application on the 23rd. My application is still showing that my transcripts are in the verification status. I was planning to wait until the spring semester but thought I'd give it a shot now. I had some pre-requisites that I had to re-do this semester as they past the 10 year mark.

For those that have been accepted, did your transcript status show as complete before you received your acceptance?

Hi all! I was accepted recently to the program :)) I currently reside in New York and still waiting for schools here to get back to me. On the acceptance letter it says the deposit is due within two weeks of receiving the acceptance, but I'm not sure if I will accept and really don't want to lose out on the money in case a school closer to home accepts me. Anyone else in this predicament?

Do you have an idea as to what you will do? New York schools are extremely hard to get into and I don't feel confident enough to dismiss UM, so I think I will put in my deposit and attend.

Hey guys,

I live in MA and I am still not sure if I will be applying to UM. Have you heard anything from previous students about the program? I'd rather stay home and I am still waiting on other schools here in Massachusetts. Do you know how many students they admit into the program?

I just submitted my application over the weekend! For those that were accepted, how long did it take for them to review your application and get back to you?

@ AAB04 It took a little over a week before they got back yo me.

@those who have been accepted. Don't forget its the two different 500 deposits to the university and to the nursing school in addition to paying for the FBI background check which is anywhere between 140 and 160 (depending on what states you live in) that must be received within two weeks of the letter.

I just got the 2nd letter with all the info on it today even though it was dated Feb 18th so I'm freaking out a little

Congratulations everyone! I just received my acceptance letter today via canelink although I am still waiting for one more school to weigh my options. Has anyone made a Facebook group yet for accepted students?
