I have taken the IELTS UKVI test but unfortunately my reading task score was 6.5 with an overall of 7. Some says that I can retake the REGULAR IELTS for UK job application as a nurse. How true is this?

For purposes of nursing licensure, you must take the academic IELTS.
I have taken Ielts for UKVI Academic module but had 6.5 in reading test. Do i still need to retake IELTS for UKVI academic module which cost 15k or is it acceptable to take the Regular Academic IELTS which cost 10k?

As well as meeting Nurse NMC requirements you must also meet Immigration requirements and they are getting strict on people wanting to work in the UK and what requirements are needed to meet the English requirement. If the new English exam is required for Immigration you must still meet and pass it regardless if the NMC doesn't require it.

if you are absolutely planning to work in UK, better take the UKVI as they need that in order to process your visa.

Hi Kimmy00027,
UKVI is needed for visa purpose presuming you have taken the UKVI Acad, the bandscore needed is only 4, so you can use that UKVI ielts when you reach the visa processing
For the NMC they are accepting regular ielts,
I heard from my friend who is currently reviewing, you can take regular ielts since you need it only for NMC registration.
Good Luck!
