Check out the international section of this forum - there are numerous threads on specialist UK nurses wanting to work abroad. Sadly, there can be difficulties for people who don't have a general adult training. Good advice above - always contact the regulatory body wherever you wish to work.

Hello!
wondering if anyone can advise me
I am a UK trained paeds nurse and I work in an emergency department currently!
I am keen to move to the USA/ maybe Canada to work and live, however I know that it is difficult for paeds nurses as we are speciality trained.
I am willing to take the NCLEX and I am aware that there is Nurse residency Programmes that Nurses can do to make up learning gaps.
I would ideally like to go back to Atlanta GA as I was previously here on a scholarship through my university back in 2023.
I have a active Nursing pin with no restrictions and will have completed numerous courses such as PILS amongst other courses that I know US trained RN's also complete!
am I wasting my time trying to come to the USA or is it possible?
