UK job outlook?

Published

Hi, i am currently a sophomore in college majoring in Nursing in the U.S. I am still pondering the health care field and all the career possibilities and I was wondering what health care careers are in high demand in the UK. I have an interest in nursing, nurse anesthetist, and nurse practitioner at the moment. I also plan on obtaining my education in the U.S and then applying for my visas and all that after a few years experience in the field i choose. Are the careers i've mentioned growing in the UK? Thank you! :)

who knows things may change in a few years however be prepared it may be a challenge if you do not have UK or another passport from a country within the EU

Yeah, a lot can change in a few years. I still have to graduate and specialize and such lol. I just like to be informed. Thanks =]. I also wanted to ask, what would i need in order to practice in europe? I understand i need to have a work visa and such but do i need to apply for citizenship and such? I'm not familiar with the process.

To work in one of the EU countries you will need to meet both their nursing and work permit requirements. For the UK that generally means NMC and UK borders meaning job on occupation shortlist and employer
