Hi my name is becci , im a children's nurse in the uk (2 yrs qualified)i have paediatric intensive care experience along with neonatal experience and im currently under taking my degree in neonatal high dependency and intensive care. Can i nurse in canada with this?, as i know that other countries do not recognize children's nursing as a nursing qualification . ANY HELP WOULD BE FAB THANK YOU:yeah:
We just need a helping hand to find out how to get this ball rolling and who to contact and what steps need taking.
Oh and also im 33yrs old and husband is 36 self employed construction works and we have 2 boys 11/8 yrs old!
Unsure of all areas at the moment but dont fancy the idea of toronto city life but fancy alberta/calagary mountain view kinda lifestyle!!

No mountains in Toronto....unless you count the high-rises! LOL
If you go to www.caphc.org you can find a list of members. This is the Canadian Association of Paediatric Health Centres and you can see where all of the children's hospitals are located. Take your time and look at the hosptial, the cost of living in that city/province, etc. This country is so big there is really a lot to consider (and choose from) so you can probably find exactly what you're looking for---combo of lifestyle and choice of hosptial.
As someone else mentioned, there are tertiary paediatric hospitals in each province (From British Columbia to Newfoundland), and I do believe that you need to be close to bilingual to work in Quebec.
I've worked in Toronto and now in Halifax. Love Halifax. Great lifestyle, it's beautiful (even in winter) and a great place to work.
