UK BSN fall 2014

Hello all!

I applied to UK for the second-degree BSN program for Fall 2014. I just received notice that I got an interview for the end of March. I wanted to hear from other people that also got an interview or anyone that is already in the program... any idea what the interview is like?

I'm from Georgia and they gave me the option of an online interview so that I wouldn't have to up there. What's the deal with the CNA course they want you to take before enrolling? I'm really excited about this program, looks like there are lots of research opportunities and I like the idea of having summers off!

Can't wait to hear from other potential classmates!

We have officially hit the 2 week mark!!!! They told me I should hear something back within 3 weeks so hopefully this is the home stretch!!!!! :nailbiting:

I know! I want to know so badly! I went to Lexington this weekend with friends to go to horse races and I couldn't stop thinking about nursing school at UK! Hopefully it will come tomorrow!

I got wait listed, but I am #3 on the list so that's not too bad! I still have hope! :up: It says that they have accepted students on the wait list as late as the week before classes begin, not ideal, but I would definitely do it!

Hey everyone, I received my email and packet. I will be there in the Fall! I am from California as well. I have sent in the deposit and the documents, is anyone else having a hard time finding the NAT course to do for the CP medical manager? I was able to easily upload my immunizations and do the background check, but I am looking for a place to take the Nurse Aide Training course over the summer and all I am finding are the somewhat sketchy for profit places that want you to be a CNA. By the way my name is Clayton.

@Motobeans - fingers crossed that 3 people don't accept so that you get to come to UK!

@Clayton - I mailed in my deposit and forms and did the background check. I'm planning on taking my CNA course at Bluegrass Nurse Aide Training in Lexington. I haven't registered yet but on the website it says it fulfills all prereqs for UK college of nursing and there are lots of dates over the summer.

@cchroust: ahh, okay I was going to say if you were from San Diego there is the school I went to for my CNA class that was cheap and really good and not a for-profit college. It's called grossmont health occupations center in Santee, CA if you wanted to check it out.

@lclayton: Tomorrow is the deadline for the people to say they're going to confirm their acceptances so hopefully 3 people decide they don't want to go! lol
