  1. @Motobeans - fingers crossed that 3 people don't accept so that you get to come to UK! @Clayton - I mailed in my deposit and forms and did the background check. I'm planning on taking my CNA course at Bluegrass Nurse Aide Training in Lexington. I haven't registered yet but on the website it says it fulfills all prereqs for UK college of nursing and there are lots of dates over the summer.
  2. I just got an e-mail with my acceptance! I hope you did too!
  3. I know! I want to know so badly! I went to Lexington this weekend with friends to go to horse races and I couldn't stop thinking about nursing school at UK! Hopefully it will come tomorrow!
  4. I haven't heard anything yet! Ah! I've been checking the mail everyday and everytime I get an email I check it immediately (just in case) hahaha! I applied to one other school, an accelerated BSN program at Kennesaw St. in GA, but I haven't heard from them yet either... This is driving me crazy!!
  5. How was your interview?
  6. I would think they sent it to everyone that applied. Nice to know they received my application! I was wondering since we never received any sort of confirmation after submitting. Mid-April can't come fast enough!
  7. It went really well I think! Some of the questions were tough, they asked a lot of questions that were like: describe a situation where you had to... Or where you showed such and such quality. Those were the most difficult ones for me to answer because it's not easy to think of specific situations on the spot. Also, I thought it was going to be a group interview, and it was just me and 2 faculty and at times the audio wasn't very clear so that made me nervous... But all in all I feel pretty confident about it! You'll do great! The ladies that interviewed me were really nice and made me feel comfortable.
  8. Ahhhh! I don't understand why it's taking so long, you'd think with eliminating the interview and not having to read through recommendations or essays they'd have it down - the anticipation is nerve-racking! I have an interview for another school next week, I was really hoping I'd know about Kennesaw by then, ugh!
  9. Friday at 9:00am, I'll let you know how it goes! Eek, good luck to you!
  10. I majored in Psychology at the University of Georgia. I talked to a girl I know that just started the traditional nursing program at UK in January and she said that they didn't have interviews, so I guess it's only for the second-degree program. I have no idea what to expect in the interview. That's great that you already got CNA certified, I'll have to take a course this summer if I get accepted.
  11. Hello all! I applied to UK for the second-degree BSN program for Fall 2014. I just received notice that I got an interview for the end of March. I wanted to hear from other people that also got an interview or anyone that is already in the program... any idea what the interview is like? I'm from Georgia and they gave me the option of an online interview so that I wouldn't have to up there. What's the deal with the CNA course they want you to take before enrolling? I'm really excited about this program, looks like there are lots of research opportunities and I like the idea of having summers off! Can't wait to hear from other potential classmates! -Lauren
  12. I just found and read through this thread... AH! I'm so nervous now haha! I applied for Fall 2014 for the accelerated BSN program. I have a 3.5 GPA from UGA and got a 92 on the TEAS. I graduated early and took pre-med science classes so maybe they'll take that into consideration? I really wish they did an interview or personal essay or something! Good luck everyone! Hopefully we'll be meeting soon!
  13. Do you know anything about the accelerated program as far as number of applicants and how competitive?
