UFV Fall 2022 Nursing

Hello Folks, 

congratulations to all for applying. I just wanted to start the forum for people applying for fall 2022.

OK that’s good, I was worried they just wouldn’t email us back if we were rejected.

Are any of you guys applying straight from high school, current degree holder? Or switching degrees?

It takes about 1-2 weeks for the result to come out! And emails are normally sent on alphabetical order! Lots of people say it hard to get in on the first try but I will say keep you hopes up and do your best! If you made it to the interview, you have a 50% of getting in ! It also goes by points (total of 9 ) academic, volunteer hours, references and your interview.

They said that yes, just waiting to see that play out I guess. Who knows! 
I’ve only applied to UFV because they changed the prerequisites for most of the other universities on how many credits you need to apply with.

I was hoping she would say a rough number to get an idea of how many applied. January intake they had about 110 applicants to start, at the info/essay session they had 73, and then at interviews it was down to 62. But they only 32 seats at the time and I believe 8 spots on the waitlist.

It’s been a bit since I’ve been in high school so not straight from there. But I did a bunch of my upgrading a year ago and am now applying.

OK, that makes me feel a bit better haha. Fingers crossed for us!

I was also kind of hoping for a rough number too, but I understand why they can’t give that to us.

Technically I’m straight from high school. I took the 4 courses I could take without being enrolled in the BSN program in Fall 2021, and then took a semester to work.

Oh amazing! Yes I took a bunch of electives as well in the fall/Winter session. 
Which electives did you take?

I took English 105, Stats 104, Sociology 101 and Psychology 101 ? How about you?

Oh amazing! I took those same ones too (just psychology 102. 
I think we had stats together with ---------------------------- right? Who did you have for English 105?

Yeah I did! I recognized you in the zoom haha. I had -------------------------- for English, it was completely online with no meeting times. Also I wish I took Psyc 102, it would’ve been way more interesting to me haha. How about you?

Okay me too! Haha

I had ---------------------- for English (also completely online and no meeting times) 

I’m just finishing up the Psych102 class now (final tomorrow) and really enjoyed this class! 
Are you taking any Summer courses?
