UF Traditional BSN 2021

Thread for University of Florida traditional BSN applicants.? Posted early so we can get our questions asked before the March 1st application deadline. With corona this year, applications are even more interesting and unpredictable!

My stats are on the lower side, but are still up there. I have a 89.6 HESI (w/ a 920 in critical thinking) and a 3.75 GPA. What's helping those lower stats are lots of volunteer hours in my community, an amazing part-time CNA position at a hospital in downtown Jacksonville, club leadership positions, involvement with local sport clubs, and more. I am currently at UNF.

I think their grad students will hear about their last round of decisions the 31st of May. So hopefully we hear back the first week of June! If not probably no later than the second Friday of June I hope.

Historically, UF has released their decisions on a Friday. Maybe this Friday we will get the word?

For those who are not at UF right now, did y'all get accepted as a transfer? My application has been under review for sooooo long.

I would like to think this Friday, but their grad students were supposed to hear back today for their final round of decisions and haven’t yet. If they don’t hear anything at 5 I assume they will hear back this Friday and we will hear back the following. If they hear back anytime before Friday then I’m hopeful we will hear back too.

Is this confirmed that the graduate students haven't heard back yet?

Yeah they have a thread for their DNP applicants. Their first round of acceptances was back in May on the 12th. They were supposed to have the rest of their decisions out on the 31st but still haven’t heard anything. Looks like they will hear back Friday and we will hear next week hopefully. If they hear back anytime before Friday then I’m hopeful for Friday.

Yeah I found it a while back and have just been watching it because it was giving me a good idea of when their traditional decisions would come out.

UF never releases decisions on any day except for fridays !! So I wouldn’t expect to hear sooner than this Friday , I’m thinking either this week or next ?

They’re not doing it anymore Ken told me it’s not part of the application process this year

I didn’t get one. Only the follow up letter about how decisions would be in early June. They didn’t do it for their ABSN students this year so they might’ve did away with it.
