UCSF New Grad Program 2023 Questions

Hello all, 

I am at the last semester of the ABSN program at Samuel Merritt. I'm expecting to graduate in early Jan and plan to take the NCLEX early Feb and no later than late Feb. I would like to know the timeline for applying to UCSF's nursing new grad Spring program 2023. Any past experiences with UCSF to share will be greatly appreciated.

I think we're supposed to have our license a month before the start date, so 3/3.

I hadn't heard anything but I checked the portal and it was updated. I guess if you're still wondering if you made it just check to see for updates in your application status.

that is great, congrats. That was my dream unit, but I didn't make it- they never called me today. Did you have a BSN already?

Yes, I graduated with my BSN this past November and the got my license this past February.

That is amazing, congrats. I wonder if they will be making more calls tomorrow. I am discouraged, but that's life.

Yes, definitely give them some more time. They called me today but they have still not sent over an official letter so maybe they are still going through candidates. I'm wishing you all the best!

When you check your application status online did it change?

Yeah...oddly enough it says I'm no longer being considered and that I didn't get the job...but they literally called me yesterday and made me an offer saying that HR will be in touch with me. It's very strange but I'll let you know once I get another update from the department.
