UCSF New Grad Program 2023 Questions

Nurses Career Support

Updated:   Published

Hello all,

I am at the last semester of the ABSN program at Samuel Merritt. I'm expecting to graduate in early Jan and plan to take the NCLEX early Feb and no later than late Feb. I would like to know the timeline for applying to UCSF's nursing new grad Spring program 2023. Any past experiences with UCSF to share will be greatly appreciated.

I just got the email as well

Did anyone receive the email for the link to schedule!?

They'll send an outlook invite soon with the link to the meeting and the time! I don't think we get to choose ☹️

Is that through email? Sorry, I am not familiar with outlook

If they said that there's 3 people per group and they are interviewing on 1/25, 1/26, 1/30, and 1/31 between the times of 10-12pm with each group having 15 minutes each, doesn't that mean only 96 people are getting an interview?

Do we think the emails all went out at once or are they still coming?

This is pretty crazy considering they take 45-60 people right? I wonder what questions they will have since it's 5 minutes per person only (including the background info etc.)

My status is Under Review and I haven't received an email yet. Strange considering I met all the requirements...

Mine still says under review, too. But I messed up and didn't rank my top 3 specialties in my cover letter. I specified that I want critical care but I'm just hoping they don't throw out my app as incomplete LOL.

I also didn't list my top three specialties in my cover letter. I'm assuming if we didn't get an email at this point, then it's likely that's what disqualified us.

Every other app I did had specialty selection built in. I bet they'd be disqualifying quite a few people for missing it.

I hope you're right and we get an interview.
