UCSF Fall 2021

Hi all!

I wanted to create a forum for those applying/alumni for any of the Nurse Practitioner degrees at UCSF. I'm applying for the AGACNP program next year (Fall 2021). Just wanted to get some insight into the program, what everyone's stats are applying, experience, etc.

I have almost two years of bedside experience (Cardiac-Telemetry & Trauma) and about a 3.7 GPA for undergrad.

Whoever attended the program, what advice do you have for prospective students? Any insight would be helpful! ?

Instead of being a silent stalker, like I normally am on these threads, I figured I would respond. I am applying to the AGPCNP track for fall! So I am still in undergrad and will graduate before next fall. My current GPA is 3.62, have about 450 hrs at bedside (M/S/tele) as a resident nurse at the VA, and I am a veteran myself. :)

That's great to hear! You have great experience outside of nursing and if I'm not wrong I believe the AGPCNP does not require any bedside experience.

Thank you, I was ecstatic they were willing to work with me (getting things sorted at the VA can take ages). I got accepted to AGPCNP!

has anyone applied to FNP program? I submitted the application for late deadline (February 1). did anyone get the interview invitation? Welcome to share or wait for the good news together!

I applied for the February 1st deadline as well. The status of my application says "your application has been successfully submitted". Just waiting for an update!

Hello!  I applied to the CNM/WHNP program, and got an email today stating an invitation to interview will be extended next week (Feb 22nd-Feb 26th). Fingers crossed! Good luck to everyone! 

A little bit about me...I have been a labor&delivery nurse for almost 3 years, 3.7 BSN, and undergrad degree in public health, with some volunteer experience in hospitals, and organizing health fairs for low income communities. 

Any info/stats about the program would be appreciated!!

Awesome! When did you apply for the program? I applied mid January. I don’t believe my program requires an interview.
