UCSD New Grad Residency November 2023

Published

Hello! I know it's a little early, but I just wanted to start a thread for UCSD's New Grad Nurse Residency program that's set to start in November 2023. It looks like there is going to be a webinar on June 7th, and applications will start on (or after) June 16th.

I got an email about 10 minutes after I received the call to schedule my interview date/time. It also included information about where, the panel, and the unit. But the email came from the admin. Maybe check your spam or try calling them back...

I have not got the reference stuff yet, but a friend told me that usually the send it out immediately following the interview.

Are the interviews in person or virtual?

This also might be a silly question, but what exactly are they looking for regarding "references?" Names/phone # of previous employers or clinical instructors? Or letters of rec?

its a website called "Skilled Survey" and you input your references information (ie. title, phone #, email, how you know them...) and it emails them a survey to fill out about you. You can't see what they put, but you can monitor and see when they complete them.

Great! Thank you. I still feel so in the dark about everything since I haven't gotten a follow up email!

Has anyone else heard from OR? & may have the # or email to the nurse manager? I think her name was Ashley.

Thanks everyone!

I interviewed with PACU for a previous cohort and it was in person. Congrats on getting an interview for OR!! I was wondering if you'd be willing to share your email with me? Or if you'd be willing to send me an email? [email protected]

I applied to OR, but didn't hear back this round so I would love to connect and see what you have been doing to improve your experience as a new grad related to the OR. ?

Did anyone that interviewed yesterday for perinatal receive the reference check?
