UCSD New Grad Residency March 2023

Published

Hi everyone! Just thought I would start a forum for those who applied to the UCSD New Grad position for this upcoming March. Leave a comment if you applied!

Does L&D have their own posting? I didn’t see that as a choice.

Also, are any of you applying elsewhere. I know a lot of the other hospitals have different start dates.

Hi! I applied for ICU, PCU, and Med-surg today! Good luck everyone!!

I saw that they had 20 L&D positions available for the last cohort so im assuming they just didn’t have any positions available this time around ?

Specializes in NICU.

Looks like there might be some updates on the portal. I was referred to hiring department today!

My status changed to referred to hiring department as well!

If they respond in the same time frame as they did for last cohort I think calls/ interview scheduling will happen sometime between now  and next Friday

I’m wondering where I would see the status change??

Above my application it has this “Upon referral, the application documents below will be made available to the hiring department, along with your most recent contact information.”

Is that it???

Check my status, it’ll take you to all of your applications submitted and there you will see referred to hiring department.

However, I don’t know if this automatically means you get an invite to interview. I think it means your resume has been sent to hiring manager to look over.

Mine also says "referred to hiring department"!

For those of you that got a referred to hiring department, are you licensed yet or have an NCLEX date already? Im curious what they are looking for. I graduate in December and from out of state but taking my boards in California.
