Published

Hi all! I wanted to start a topic for the July 2022 UCSD residency program applications since they close today! My first choice unit is ICU & I will graduate in early May. Good luck everyone!

Hey! Can you tell me or DM me with how the references are asked for during this process? And letters of recommendation? Haven’t applied yet, just trying to figure out what to expect for later this year…

Hi! Sorry for the late reply, I wanted to go through the process myself before disseminating any kind of information.

After I was notified that I would be interviewed, I got an email asking me to input my references into a website. I had to input at least five references with at least two of them being my manager/supervisor.

They did not ask for letters of recommendation, but I brought a portfolio (which included letters of recommendation) to my interview just in case. Hope this helps and good luck later in the year!

Did anyone have an interview with ICU panel? Have you heard back?

I heard back for ICU a while ago. From what I hear, all units respond at different times, which is really nerve wrecking since we've all worked hard to get to this point ?

Hi everyone,

Congrats to everyone who has gotten an offer ?

I was wondering if anyone applied to BMT PCU as their first choice? My application has been showing "Referred to Hiring Department 04/04/2022," but I haven't gotten a call or email for an interview.

I had ONC PCU as my first choice and I believe the interviews were done with BMT PCU as the nurse mangers from that floor were part of the panel

Hi @newgrad72,

When did you interview with them and did you already hear back with their decisions?

Hey! Just curious has anyone heard back regarding interviewing with the ED?

I applied to the ED and haven't heard back yet. The portal still says "Referred to Hiring Department" which changed on 5/6. What about you? I hope they're still sorting through applications.

Yeah I'm in the same boat @RN_44

I interviewed with them at the beginning of the month. One person I interviewed with got an offer, however I haven't heard from them so I'm assuming I am not going to be offered a position

I'm withdrawing my offer so hopefully someone else gets a spot!

Hey guys! I saw a few of you guys also got referred to hiring 5/6 for ED, has anyone heard anything else from the ED or know of anyone getting interviews or positions?

I still haven't heard anything else. I don't know anyone else who also applied there so, I haven't heard of anyone getting interviews or positions. I know there was only a few ED spots open in general though... hoping they didn't all go to internal hires or something. Also, the position still says open on my portal so I'm still holding hope that they haven't filled all positions yet
