UCSD april/may 2018 new grad RN

Hi everyone! I applied to the surgical ICU new grad RN position at UCSD Med Center for April/May 2018. Did anyone else and if so, what does your application status say? Mine says referred to hiring department 3/28.

Hi, I applied to the IMU position. Unfortunately, I did not cut it for the Med/Surg position. Mine changed from "referred to hiring dept" to "others more competitive" just today. Any idea how interviews are decided? My preceptorship was in an intermediate care unit. Have you all been matched with where your preceptorship has been? Just wondering. Also, I take the NCLEX in one week. Any idea if they prefer people have taken the NCLEX already and passed? Just wondering because i just graduated in April. TIA.

Sorry to hear about that! I don't know how interviews are decided but FYI, my preceptorship was actually in Peds and the Med/Surg positions I've applied to have both stated "Referred to Hiring Dept" so I want to say it's not just dependent on your preceptorship. But I still have yet to get a call for an interview.

I think they may want you to already have your license so once you get it, immediately update your app if you can! Good luck!

I got a status update IMU on 5/21, but no interview. Have you heard anything new?

they are listed under New Grad Clinical Nurse I, but I don't see any postings as of now. make sure to check everyday though!

Since my status change on 5/3, I still haven't received a call of email about my app for BMT. Has anyone else who applied for BMT received anything?

My status for BMT changed to "Others More Competitive" today. Glad that they updated the status, but it's disheartening. Looks like I'll have to keep trying!
