Starting a thread for all those applying to UConn's CEIN program for the 2021 cohort. I know this is WAY in advance... but hey, might as well get this rolling! Maybe we can post some advice for prereqs, and application process in the meantime!

Yes I had all my pre-reqs done I graduated last year from UConn and been working at UConn hospital so that probably helped me

Hi everyone! My application was just verified yesterday so now I’m in the waiting stage. My first choice is Stamford! Hope we hear back soon ?

Congratulations to everyone accepted. I just applied for the Stamford campus on June 13th. I’ll continue to keep you guys updated! Does anyone know when the review dates in June are? I reviewed previous forums and it seems like there is one every 2 weeks. Someone applied June 12 and found out June28 last year but there are also people whose application get pushed until the final review date after the July 15 deadline. The waiting part is so nerve wrecking! Did anyone else get in ? Not a lot of people are active in this forum...

Can’t help you with the decision date but you could always ask Heather? I found out in mid March (Applied beginning of Feb) but I assume they are reviewing more frequently now? I’m in to Stamford- would love to start a facebook group with those who are in!! Fingers crossed for you!!

Thank you for responding and the positivity!

Stamford is my first choice! I was thinking of asking Heather but was scared of coming of as intrusive especially since I just submitted my application. I guess I can ask if they received my $75 fee since they need to see that before reviewing my application and slip that question afterward.

I would definitely not be scared to ask Heather she responds pretty fast and is there to answer any questions. But I’ll let you know right now if you wanna find out when your application will be reviewed she’ll probably just tell you what she most likely tells everyone which is 3-4 weeks! When I emailed her that’s what I was told but I heard back within 2-3!

OMG! I rechecked the forum to make sure but you had to retake some prerequisite; I am so glad you got in! I don’t have a 4.0 GPA or all As in my prerequisites so I was scared that they wouldn’t even look at my application! My nursing supervisor once told me that if I don’t have As in anatomy that I won’t get into nursing school......... which I knew was somewhat of an exaggeration but deep down I’m just anxious.

Hi all!

Question: Does the Application fee of $75 have to be submitted to the mailing address or can I pay online?

Also, My personal statement is 240 words over the limit...do you think that a problem?

I paid mine online.
In my opinion, if you don’t follow the guidelines, they may assume that you don’t know how to follow instructions which isn’t a judgement that you would want them to have about you.

So I responded an hour ago with the link but I rechecked this forum without loggining in and for some reason it comes up as hidden so I’ll just tell you want I did..
I typed “uconn cein 2021” in Google and clicked “application information and process - (CEIN) Program;” it should be the first link under Google.

Double check to make sure that you are on UConn’s website.


Scroll down to “application fee” under application process and click the link
