UCONN 2021

Published

Starting a thread for all those applying to UConn's CEIN program for the 2021 cohort. I know this is WAY in advance... but hey, might as well get this rolling! Maybe we can post some advice for prereqs, and application process in the meantime!

They will review your application if you have up to two classes in progress- so, you can apply once your grades are in from A&PII and Genetics!
I would have your entire application done by early May so all you are waiting on are your grades to update in the system and have transcripts sent. Also submit proof of enrollment in Statistics showing that it is in progress!

Additionally, I've found admissions has been super responsive over email with class requirement questions!

anyone hear anything back from uconn? I applied in december and submited my final transcript 1/23.

Nothing yet for me- I applied 1/31. Based on past threads it sounded like the first wave Is mid March. What campus did you apply for?

storrs! I was told that they havn't started looking at applications yet and that the first wave of acceptances will happen during the beginning of April.

Great, good to know! Fingers crossed for the both of us!

Do we think admissions decisions may be delayed given all that's going on?

Hi all!

I'm going to apply this year for the program and was wondering if anyone has retaken several courses before applying? I had to retake 4 courses in order to get better grades and have got A's this time around. But I emailed a lady from the program who said this isn't looked at favorably and so now I'm worried that my chances of getting in are very low. Once I complete all my prereqs I'll have A's in them all but I'm just wondering if I'll still have a chance of getting accepted considering many were retakes?

Has anyone applied and heard back?

Just heard I am accepted for Stamford!

Jannat- Maybe speak with somebody in admissions again? From what I remember during the informational sessions, they really look at the whole picture! If you can explain why you didn't do well in those four courses but have done better now in your essay I'm sure that would give them useful information!
