Starting a thread for all those applying to UConn's CEIN program for the 2021 cohort. I know this is WAY in advance... but hey, might as well get this rolling! Maybe we can post some advice for prereqs, and application process in the meantime!
I sent an email and got this response:
You will hear back from us about 4-5 weeks from when your application became verified by Nursing CAS.
So I submitted my application on 7/1 and it was verified on 7/14, I guess I’m looking at 8/14 at the earliest. I just feel antsy because I was accepted to other programs that need to know my decision.

Hi Savannah,
As Future uconn nurse implied, It is also my general understanding that all application materials (including reference letters) need to be submitted before an application is considered "complete", and ready for Committee review. With this being said, I know that it can be nerve-wracking waiting for these letters of recommendation to be submitted. While your final LOR has not been submitted yet, I would in no way have assumed that you were not a "serious" candidate for this program and that you do not know how to "follow instructions". From personal experience, LOR (being submitted) is wholly out of your control in how quickly a recommender actually submits them, once a due date is provided to them.
With this being said, I would reach out to the person writing your recommendation and remind them that your LOR is due ASAP.
Best of luck, Savannah!
