Hey guys! I wanted to start a thread for those applying to UCLA's summer nursing externship for summer 2018. I just submitted my app and i'm already nervous! Has anyone else submitted?

Wow!! Congrats! Do you know if the "routed to interviewing supervisor" status meant anything? I wonder if everyone got the same status... but mine said the same thing as yours!

There were some at my school who's apps did not ever change to routed to interview supervisor, so I think it is a "next-step" sort of thing

omg congrats!!!! did she interview you on the phone? what unit did you get? i picked ER and peds. mine also says "routed to interviewing supervisor"

How long does it take to get a phone call if your application says routing to interviewing supervisor ?

Hi! I applied for NICU/Pediatric Oncology. My app says "routed to interviewing supervisor" as well. Anyone have any clarity?

Hello everyone,

I found this thread today and was hoping someone could respond to me about this UCLA Externship program. I can't call the office today because it is Labor Day weekend but I was hoping you guys could give me some insight on this process. My first question would be is anyone allowed to apply to the program or is it only nursing students that went to a 4 year nursing program. I currently attend a ADN program in Santa Monica and would be crushed to find out if I could not apply. However, I am in a BSN program with CSUDH but will not finish until a semester after I receive my ADN, I don't know if that would help. I am in my first week of nursing school for my first semester but really would love to find out all the necessary information for this to be prepared. My dream is to one day work at UCLA and I really want to stand out and put in the work to accomplish my dream. I tried looking at the information online however it says that the page does not exist. I was hoping you guys could give me some information and advice on this. Thank you!
