Hey guys! I'm starting this thread for the Winter 2025 Cohort at UCLA. Hopefully we can update each other on application processes, interviews, and job offers!

The application opened up today 09/06! Good luck to all of us ❤️

Did you get an interview offer as well? Congrats!! We got this

Hi! I did. Congrats to you as well 🙂

I am curious how many spots are open for the unit. I imagine like 2-3 right?

That's what I was thinking. Most likely 2-3 but the more the better 😂

Hi! Im wondering if you remember how your interview was. Was it more personality based or clinical based? Thank you again

Hi there, jumping in here. I'm from Neuro ICU 2 cohorts ago (2024). The interview is definitely a mix of both, with much more emphasis on personality and less on situation-based questions (I.e. what would you do in a code stroke?). The latter wouldn't really be asked as opposed to, tell me about yourself or tell me a time you were a safe student nurse. Brush up on very broad questions and try not to get too clinical. Be yourself, smile, and ask 1-2 thoughtful questions at the end. Best of luck

Hi, refer to CNN9219's post on my tips. If you guys saw about 20 people on the list, expect about max 3 maybe even 2 people hired. I could be wrong but that's been the number if it's any less than 30+ people. Good luck

8ICU takes the most new grads compared to any other unit. I'm not from that unit but every other person I met during orientation was from 8ICU. Hopefully that means a greater chance for you. Good luck!

Ahh thank you! Do you know how the interview went for ICU? Were they mostly scenarios based?

I saw there was about 36-40 spots for interview! Should I be guessing about 4 would be hired ?

Can you provide the uniform contact number?

I don't have FB either.

I have an interview for that same location. Can you explain what they asked for interviews and how it went? Thank you
