Hey guys! I'm starting this thread for the Summer 2025 Cohort at UCLA. Hopefully we can update each other on application processes, interviews, and job offers!

The application opens up tomorrow, 02/27! Good luck to all of us ❤️

Just interviewed with the stein eye institute for new grad position. has anyone else interviewed for this position? did they say when you should hear back?

would anyone suggest sending a thank you email post interview?

Interviewed for the New Grad OR Training Program this week and I'm an external applicant. Good luck to everyone!

To whoever had their interviews.. what type of questions did they mostly ask? Did they ask any clinical style questions?

I had all clinical questions besides tell me about yourself. I was given patient scenarios and was asked what meds to give, imaging, labs, anticipated orders and vital signs. They weren't super challenging but def be ready to know the basics and nursing process.

Agree with the commenter above it was the hardest interview I've ever had. They wanted me to do a full sbar on a patient and head to toe assessment findings of a hf patient I was like whatttttttt 😬

If you don't mind me asking, which unit was that for?

What unit did you apply for?

Did anyone apply for the Onc/Hemo here and already went through w their interview? if so, do you mind sharing a brief overview of the qs asked?

Hello, for those that got interviews, were you emailed or called? Its already May. I had an email my info was forwarded to the hiring manager but nothing after that

I believe it should be similar for all units. I interviewed for critical care and was told May 23-June13. I know that your status will change to "Interview/Onboarding" if offered a position about 1-3 days before they give you a call! Best of luck! We got this!

Did anyone who interviewed hear about second interviews? For the intermediate care unit they mentioned having a second  in person interview...
