UCLA New Grad RN Fall 2021

Published

Hi,

Is anyone else interviewing for a new grad RN position at UCLA? I have an interview scheduled in a couple of weeks for the ICU and I haven’t seen many people talking about their new grad program so I thought I’d start a thread ?

It was for 5 MN step down unit

I also have a second interview for the 5MN unit. I'm hoping for the best for both of us. Good luck!

Are those second interviews scheduled for this upcoming week?  Would that mean that offer letters will be sent out after all the interviews are done?

It's scheduled for this Monday. I'm not sure if offer letters will come out this week, but it would be reassuring if they did

The unit I interviewed for didn’t say anything about a second interview. I still haven’t heard back yet, offer or rejection. I wasn’t 5MN, has anyone else had a similar experience?

Hi yes me too. I had two interviews for two different units, no invitation for second interview either or rejection or offer. They could be sending out offers or rejections this coming week, because of the Thanksgiving holiday. I asked someone from talent acquisition and they said they should have made all their decisions by December 10th

Does anyone know how likely it is to get an offer letter if chosen for the second interview?

Pediatrics! I haven't heard from anyone that interviewed with Peds to have a second interview. Anxiously awaiting for some news! What about you?

When I was interviewing, the nursing manager said that the next step would be to meet the unit staff and possibly a second interview. However, it seemed on the timeline for this that second interviews are optional for the units. So don't feel too discouraged! It also stated that everyone is gonna be "in-review" until offer letters are sent out, and the latest you'll find out is Dec 10th. I hope that helps!

Thanks for your response! ? I saw that in the interview email they sent out initially, second interviews were "as needed." I'm looking at previous threads and it looks like someone said most units only do one interview, as of late 2019 (I haven't found anything helpful after that, attached is the link). Crossing our fingers for all of us to get an offer!
