Let's update each other!

Has anyone else application status changed from "in review" to "interview/onboarding"? What does this mean? Anyone knows? Thx

CONGRATULATIONS, sounds like you got the job! Should receive an email soon 😊

Applied to MICU & Surgical Transplant ICU. Got an interview for OR & Neuro MS. Goal is ICU! IDK what to do! Goal is for ICU for CRNA school so im debating of going to another hospital that gets me into ICU, or should I stay at UCLA? HELP!

I mean UCLA is top tier nursing environment and they offer a Med/Surg/Tele to ICU transition program through the Santa Monica UCLA ICU, but that is after you have experience as a Med/Surg/Tele nurse for a few years which might delay your time to CRNA school if that is the goal. I think OR would probably not be the best for your goals, but Neuro MS could be if you do a transition to ICU program later, but again that delays things. UCLA is good name on resume though. But if CRNA is truly your goal then you might want to choose an ICU at another hospital if you can get it.

Specializes in New Grad RN.

OMG CONGRATS! You're basically hired, and they should be contacting you soon for your offer!

What unit(s) did you interview for?

You're totally right! I was just blindsided by UCLA being UCLA.

For anyone who interviewing with RR 8ICU, the manager said they're looking to hire 8 ppl!

y'all I'm shook.... okay so I put perinatal and NICU as my top 2 choices. never heard back, so I sadly came to the conclusion that UCLA was a dead end... but then this morning I get an interview invite for RR 8ICU - Liver Transplant Intensive Care Unit/General Surgery.

of course I'm grateful so, I chose an interview time, but what does this mean? I wonder if I'll follow through just to get my foot into UCLA even though my heart is with women's

so keep the faith y'all, I guess they're not done sending out invites. on the document I got, it said interviews start May 6th

Must be nice! I put Liver Transplant as one of my options but was given NeuroMS 😞 debating to take it & transfer to ICU (which will take 2yrs) or just go elsewhere...

I'm not sure! Today was the last day for interviews based off the sign up sheet. But who knows, a lot of people change their mind and they could have an alternate list!

Does anyone know how many people they're hiring for the CTICU? I forgot to ask during my interview haha. My status is still "in review" :( .
