I created this thread for those who applied to the UCLA New Grad OR Training Program for the Winter 2026 cohort! I'm excited for this opportunity! Let's update each other on application processes, interviews, and job offers!

Hi, I am applying to their new grad OR training program. I am a CCP at UCLA Health I heard it doesn't matter. So I'm pretty nervous. I met a couple of CCP new graduates who were rejected and left UCLA Health for a new graduate position. My application still says submit.

Mine still says submitted too! Which units did you apply for in the OR?

I applied to the Main Operating Room - RR or SM or WV, my friend is an external applicant, and her application says "review". I'm wondering if internal are last ?

I'm external but it still says submitted. I wonder if it's going by when they applied? I started my application on the 9th but submitted on the 15th

Hey everyone! I also applied to main OR and medical procedures. I am an external applicant and started my application on the 10th and submitted on the 15th. My status still says "submitted". I hope our applications update soon 🙂

Hello, external applicant here! Best of luck to all of us!
Any of you have experience in the OR? A little nervous because I don't have any, just some shadowing, but I had my senior practicum at a cancer center's procedure suite.

Your shadowing experience and the procedure site practicum is good to have on your cover letter! I have some clinical experience from school- I took an intro to periop class at Pasadena City College. Since I didn't get into the program when I first applied in March, I decided to do AORN Periop 101 through APU as well. I don't know how much they care about our experience though because they'll teach us everything we need to know

Hi! Do you know if your friend applied to any other units or just OR? I think a lot of NICU/ PICU applicants so far have gotten their status updated who have also applied to OR. I'm wondering if this means that maybe OR applications haven't been reviewed yet and maybe just other units. Thanks 🙂
